- As an Advanced Registered Yoga Teacher recognized by the National Yoga Alliance, Maureen has delved into various yoga traditions. Her studies include programs at the American Yoga College, International Yoga Studies, Integrative Yoga Therapy, and Meridian Hatha Yoga Therapy.
- In 1993, Maureen established the Mind-Body Medicine Group at Mass General Hospital in Boston, Massachusetts.
- This group convened regularly, hosting guest speakers and fostering awareness of complementary and integrative practices.
- Their Mind-Body Fair in March 1996 introduced healthcare workers to modalities, such as Reiki, Acupuncture, Biofeedback, Chiropractic medicine, Massage, Reflexology, and Aromatherapy.
