Maureen Spencer, RN, M.Ed., CIC Infection Prevention Consultant - Boston, MA
Maureen Spencer is a highly experienced Infection Preventionist with over 40 years in the field and is board certificated in infection control (CIC). Her contributions to infection prevention have been exceptional, earning her numerous accolades and recognition as an early pioneer in the field.
Maureen's innovative work in infection control was acknowledged when she received the APIC National Carole DeMille Award in 1990. In 2007, she was honored as one of the APIC Heroes of Infection Prevention for her significant role in establishing the MRSA and Staph aureus Elimination Program at New England Baptist Hospital, recognized as an Orthopedic Center of Excellence.
